Ketika pertama kali mengetahuiterinfeksivirus HIV, para istrimengalamiberbagaiemosisepertimarah, takut, kecewa, penyangkalan, sertadepresi, dan dapatdikelolamenggunakanmanajemenemosi. Penelitian inibertujuanuntukmengkajimengenaimanajemenemosiistri yang tertular HIV/AIDS darisuaminya di KDS “Smile Plus” KabupatenTemanggung. Penelitian inimenggunakanmetodekualitatif. Sumber data terdiridaritujuhinforman yang dipilihsecarapurposive sampling. Teknik yang digunakandalampengumpulan data meliputiwawancaramendalam, observasi, dan studidokumentasi. Hasil penelitianinimenunjukkanbahwapengenalanemosidiriistri yang tertular HIV/AIDS darisuaminyayaitumerekasadarakanemosi yang munculsaatpertama kali tahuterinfeksi HIV sepertimarah, sedih, dan syok. Pengelolaanemosiadalahdenganmelakukanberbagaikegiatanpositif dan selalumendapatdukunganmaupunpenguatandaripihakkeluarga dan KDS “Smile Plus”. Motivasidiriadalahinginmerawat, membesarkan, dan mendampingianakhinggasukses, mereka juga inginselalusehat, meningkatkankualitashidup dan membuktikanbahwa ODHA layakditerima di masyarakat. Cara mengenaliemosi orang lain adalahdenganmelihat dan mengamatiperubahansikapdari orang yang adadisekitarnya, kemudianmerespondengancaramemberikanperhatian. Pembinaanhubunganadalahaktifmengikutikegiatan yang diadakan oleh KDS “Smile Plus”. Masalah yang ditemukandalampenelitianiniadalahketakutan yang berlebihterhadapkematian dan mendapat stigma sertadiskriminasidarikeluarga. Berdasarkanhasilpenelitiandiusulkan program yaitupelatihanmanajemenemosiistri yang tertular HIV/AIDS darisuaminya di KDS “Smile Plus” KabupatenTemanggung. Tujuan program adalahuntukmeningkatkankemampuanmanajemenemosiistri yang tertular HIV/AIDS. Kegiatan yang dilakukanyaitupengembangankapasitasdalammeningkatkankondisipsikologis, pelatihanmanajemen stress bagi ODHA, pelatihanketerampilanperawatan ODHA bagi ODHA dan OHIDHA dan kunjunganrumah oleh pekerjasosial di rumah ODHA. Management of the Emotions of a Wife who Infects HIV/AIDS from Her Husband in the Peer Support Group “Smile Plus” in Temanggung Regency. Bandung Social Welfare Polytechnic. Undergraduate Thesis. HIV is a virus that can attack the human immune system, including wives who contract HIV/AIDS from their husbands.When they first found out they were infected with HIV, the wives experienced various emotions such as anger, fear, disappointment, denial, and depression, which can be managed using emotional management. This study aims to examine the emotional management of a wife who contracted HIV/AIDS from her husband in the "Smile Plus" Peer Support Group, Temanggung Regency. This research usesqualitative method. The data source consisted of seven informants selected by purposive sampling. The techniques used in data collection include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the emotional recognition of wives who contract HIV/AIDS from their husbands is that they are aware of the emotions that arise when they first find out they are infected with HIV such as anger, sadness, and shock. Emotional management is by carrying out various positive activities and always receiving support and reinforcement from the family and the “Smile Plus” Peer Support Group. Self-motivation is wanting to care for, raise and accompany children to success, they also want to always be healthy, improve the quality of life and prove that PLHIV deserves to be accepted in society. The way to recognize other people's emotions is to see and observe changes in the attitudes of the people around them, then respond by paying attention. Relationship building is actively participating in activities organized by the “Smile Plus” Peer Support Group. The problem found in this study is the excessive fear of death and stigma and discrimination from the family. Based on the results of the research, a program was proposed, namely emotional management training for a wife who contracted HIV/AIDS from her husband at the KDS "Smile Plus" in Temanggung Regency. The aim of the program is to improve the emotional management skills of wives who are infected with HIV/AIDS. Activities carried out include capacity building in improving psychological conditions, stress management training for PLWHA, training in PLHA care skills for PLWHA and OHIDHA and home visits by social workers at PLHA's homes.
