dc.description.abstract	IDORA TESALONIKA TAMPUBOLON, 20.04.245. Peran Pekerja Sosial dalam Mendorong Partisipasi Sosial Lanjut Usia di Unit Pelaksana Teknis Daerah Pusat Pelayanan Sosial Griya Lansia Provinsi Jawa Barat, Dibimbing oleh Nurrohmi dan Rahmat Syarif Hidayat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji lebih mendalam terkait peran pekerja sosial dalam mendorong partisipasi sosial klien lanjut usia di Unit Pelaksana Teknis Daerah Pusat Pelayanan Sosial Griya Lansia Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pengolahan data triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penentuan informan adalah purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara mendalam (in depth interview), observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan terakhir adalah penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan data yang didapat dari wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi menunjukkan bahwa peran pekerja sosial UPTD PPSGL dalam mendorong partisipasi sosial pada lima layanan yakni brokering service, case or care management, individual and family counseling, support and therapeutic groups, dan transportation and housing assistance telah dilaksanakan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pula, didapatkan permasalahan terkait dengan partisipasi sosial lansia di UPTD PPSGL adalah frekuensi pelaksanaan kegiatan yang mendorong partisipasi sosial lansia dirasa kurang variatif dan cenderung banyak pada kegiatan kesenian. Peneliti mengusulkan program yang dapat membantu pekerja sosial dalam melakukan perannya mendorong partisipasi sosial lansia. Nama Program ini adalah “Lantara”, yang merupakan singkatan dari “Lansia Tangguh dan Juara”. Program ini berupa berbagai kegiatan yang dapat memacu semangat lanjut usia untuk berpartisipasi sosial secara aktif agar meraih kemenangan pada kegiatan yang dilaksanakan. Kegiatan yang ada pada program ini tidak hanya terfokus pada bidang seni dan dapat berubah-ubah pada pelaksanaan setiap bulannya. The Role of Social Workers in Encouraging the Social Participation of Elderly People in the Regional Technical Implementation Unit of the Social Service Center for Elderly Homes in West Java Province, Supervised by Nurrohmi and Rahmat Syarif Hidayat. This research aims to examine in more depth the role of social workers in encouraging the social participation of elderly clients in the Regional Technical Implementation Unit of the Social Services Center for the Elderly, West Java Province. This research uses qualitative research methods with data processing methods of source triangulation and technical triangulation. The technique used in determining informants was purposive sampling. The data collection techniques used in this research are in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Checking the validity of the data in this research uses triangulation techniques consisting of source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique that the researcher uses is firstly data reduction, secondly by data presentation, and the final stage is drawing conclusions. The research results based on data originating from interviews, observations, and documentation studies show that the role of UPTD PPSGL social workers in encouraging social participation is divided into five services, namely brokering services, case or care management, individual and family counseling, support and therapeutic groups, and transportation and housing assistance has been implemented. Based on the research results, it was also found that the problem related to the social participation of the elderly in UPTD PPSGL was that the frequency of carrying out activities that encourage social participation of the elderly carried out at UPTD PPSGL was felt to be less varied and tended towards artistic activities. Researchers propose a program that can help social workers carry out their role in encouraging the social participation of the elderly. The name of this program is "Lantara", which is an abbreviation of "Tough and Champion Elderly". This program takes the form of various activities that can stimulate the enthusiasm of elderly people to actively participate socially in order to achieve victory in the activities carried out.
